Violations in sports can now be reported via a new digital service

The Finnish Center for Integrity in Sports (FINCIS) has opened a new ILMO service that can be used to report suspected doping, competition manipulation and spectator safety violations. Anyone can report suspected behaviour. Reports help protect athletes and sports in general and ensure that all athletes are equal and safe.

The ILMO service can be used to report suspected violations anonymously or with your own name. The content of the report is processed confidentially and the need of possible further actions is analysed. If you want to submit a report anonymously, you can sign in to a secure messaging platform, via which FINCIS can request additional information without compromising your identity, if necessary.

The service helps FINCIS to target its investigations more efficiently in doping control, preventing manipulation of sports competitions and promoting spectator safety. At first the service is available only in Finnish, but the questions can be answered in English as well.

" The reported information can be very significant in revealing and investigating any possible misconduct in sports. ILMO is a highly anticipated and useful tool that anyone can use to promote fairness in sports. The reports help us prevent the threats faced by fair sports, for instance, by planning information acquisition and investigative procedures related to severe violations, even crimes," says FINCIS Chief Investigative Officer Jouko Ikonen.
